What led you to CrossFit and CFH?
I started lifting weights about 7 years ago when I began training for an NPC bodybuilding show. I had never really worked out before that, other than some Jillian Michaels DVD’s and p90x. After a grueling year of strict dieting restrictions and old school body building training style, I wanted something more. I tried several boot camps and even other trainers. Chris and I stumbled upon iron tribe and loved it! We stayed there for over three years, while I had to take a ten month break because of baby girl. We joined CFH after our gym suddenly closed. Amber was so nice to let the tribers jump right in and welcome us to the CFH family! Chris and I instantly wanted to do REAL crossfit. We both have made so much progress since joining CFH. I FINALLY got my first bar muscle up thanks to coach Luke!
What is your favorite WOD
My favorite wod has to be Murph. I love the long grinding wods that force you to dig deep and keep pushing. Plus there are no barbells, just you, your body and a weight vest. And all the push-ups…#thankslisablevins Not to mention 2 miles of running….
What are your goals?
Gosh, I have so many goals. I’m always working on something! Of course the muscle up, hspu, oly lifts (all of them) and a faster 5k.
How has CrossFit impacted your life?
Crossfit has made me stronger mentally and physically. I am doing things I never thought I would be able to do. Crossfit is so empowering!
